What Makes Phu Vinh Products Unique?
Located in Phu Nghia commune (Chuong My district), Phu Vinh stands out among Hanoi’s craft villages for its meticulous bamboo and rattan products, featuring intricate and beautiful patterns. Artisans carefully select, process, and craft the materials—sun-drying, soaking in chemicals to prevent insects, crushing, peeling, polishing, and coloring with natural methods like boiling with bamboo leaves for durability and vibrant hues lasting 30-40 years. While preparation steps are now mechanized, the weaving process remains manual, requiring high skill to create flawless patterns.
From traditional items like sieves and baskets to modern designs such as lampshades, curtains, and landscape paintings, Phu Vinh products cater to both domestic and international markets, blending heritage with contemporary style.
